A breakfast roundtable with Josh Glancy, Associate Editor of The Sunday Times

In our recent invitation-only roundtable in March 2026, we examined how anti-Jewish hatred manifests in the UK today and identified constructive responses. The insightful and high-quality discussion highlighted the growing normalisation of anti-Jewish prejudice across political, cultural and online spaces, alongside widespread misunderstanding of its forms and relationship to debates on Israel and Zionism. Participants stressed the real-world impact on Jewish life, including feelings of safety, visibility and belonging, particularly in the context of global events and campus environments.

The roundtable also underscored the need for clearer government action, stronger engagement from the equality and human rights sectors, and a more consistent approach to recognising anti-Jewish racism within wider anti-racism frameworks. Finally, it emphasised the importance of values-driven leadership, education, and cross-community collaboration to strengthen social cohesion and uphold the principles of dignity, justice and solidarity.
