As winter arrives, we pause to reflect on the enduring importance of human rights. Across Europe and here in the UK, the principles born from the ashes of war remain our moral compass – guiding us toward a more just and compassionate society. This year, René Cassin has worked tirelessly to bring light where it is most needed, deepening our commitment to defending human rights, rooted in the Jewish tradition of speaking out against injustice

This Hannukah

As we light candles of resilience and hope, we also light the way toward everyday rights for all. Through our Jewish Everyday Rights Forum (JERF), we are expanding our work to include the right to food, healthcare, and adequate housing – grounded in dignity, security, and collective responsibility. How can you act this Hanukkah:· Make culturally sensitive food donations to your local foodbank.· Share your experiences of socio-economic hardship with us – food insecurity, community support, or ideas for change. Even a small flame can spark a big change.

René Cassin and AJR Partnership

René Cassin and AJR Partnership…We are proud to renew our strategic partnership with the Anglo-Jewish Association (AJA).Building on three years of impactful collaboration, this renewed commitment will enable both organisations to deepen our work to embed human rights principles across Jewish communal life and address urgent challenges, including the rise in anti-Jewish racism.
We also spoke to Women For Refugee Women on the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, discussed women in immigration detention, and spoke with Dr Amy Williams from the AJR on the Kindertransport lists and safe routes on The Rene Cassin podcast

As we come to the end of an action-filled year, we thank you for your support and for being part of our journey. Together, we ensure that Jewish values continue to shape a world of dignity, justice, and human rights.
