Dear Supporter
As we welcome 2025 and draw a close to 2024, we reflect upon our 2024 successes and thank you for all your support.
Although 2024 came with its challenges, we are proud to have played a role in bringing a unique Jewish perspective to our work with partners, ending policies that undermine basic human rights principles such as the Rwanda Bill and saving the UK’s Human Rights Act.
We stood alongside marginalised and minority groups, ensuring more compassionate and welcoming attitudes towards refugees, asylum seekers, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller, and the UK’s Uyghur community.
Throughout 2024, we are proud to have had:
– 740 sign-ups to our events
– Ten new Ambassadors joining our programme
– Twelve in-person and online events
– Over 100 calls to action, including a successful outcome challenging Volkswagen to end its complicity with Uyghur forced labour in the Uyghur region.
– Three new trustees and one new Chair
– Three new Jewish community partnerships, including Jewish Women’s Aid,Moishe House Kilburn and the Alliance of Jewish Women.

We are also proud of the launch of our new podcast series on the Uyghur genocide, a Jewish Human Rights Film Festival and another national media feature on the anniversary of the Kindertransport to expand the impact of our campaigning.
All of this was made possible thanks to the continued support from our supporters, donors, volunteers and alumni.
We thank you for your support and look forward to continuing to make the case for human rights in the UK in 2025.
With best wishes from the René Cassin team

In 2025, we’re calling on the government to take steps to promote human rights.
👉 Expand safe routes for refugees and introduce alternatives to immigration detention
👉 Keep the UK signed into the ECHR
👉 Enshrine the right to food in the UK
👉 The UK government to recognise China’s genocide of the Uyghurs
👉 Strengthen the Modern Slavery Act to sanction businesses which profit from modern slavery
We hope for your continued support.
