Refugees Welcome!
Join René Cassin and the Jewish community at Wednesday’s rally
Parliament Square, London – Wednesday 20 October, 4.30-6.30pm

If passed, the Nationality and Borders Bill will:

• make fleeing persecution more difficult and more dangerous
• mean that more people become victims of modern slavery
• lead to an increase in people being held – sometimes indefinitely – in immigration detention.

As Jews who understand persecution – and as humans who want to protect the rights of marginalised people – we can show solidarity with refugees – and our opposition to the Bill – by joining the Refugees Welcome Rally on Wednesday.

Please gather with René Cassin and other Jewish organisations at 4-4.30pm at Millicent Fawcett’s statue in Parliament Square. We will then join the rest of the rally as a bloc at 4.30pm. All are welcome – Look out for René Cassin’s big green and white banner!

René Cassin has recently opened new workstreams on women’s rights and the right to food – crucial issues made more urgent by the pandemic, the imminent cut in Universal Credit, and the recent sharp spike in energy prices. And we continue to highlight China’s genocidal repression of its Uyghur Muslims, along with campaigning against hate speech, immigration detention, and modern slavery, and in support of the Human Rights Act.
